The station in Bruck an der Mur is one of the busiest in Styria. The modernisation and extension project created a station capable of coping with the demands of a modern transport hub. The old station building was replaced by a bright, modern concourse, the entire station site was adapted to the needs of the disabled, and the new platforms ensure passengers can easily board local as well as mainline trains. A new walkway, which is protected from the elements, provides direct access to the parking building. A key element of the modernisation is the redesign of the station forecourt to improve connections between car, bus, bike and trains.
