The Vienna campus model is an educational facility which brings together kindergarten, school and leisure learning in one place. The project includes three sports halls, a kindergarten with 11 classes, a full time elementary school with 17 classes, and a full time secondary school with 16 classes.
The building’s location at the end of the row frames the street. Part of the campus building is slightly angled inwards, creating a plaza with a generous entrance area. The multifunctional character of the campus can be seen in its structural design. Different types of education have been integrated into a complex consistent organisational shape.
Full advantage is taken of the spatial synergies offered by the central assembly hall, and open spaces are created for events involving more than one school.
