The linear development of the existing hangars is continued by the new construction of Hangar 7. The annex on the northern side was configured as an individual building which does not compete with the mighty mass of the hall. In its conical shape, the ground plan reacts to the routing of the eastern roads.

The building consists of a 40 x 100 m large hangar and an attached workshop- and administration wing. The roof structure is formed by a steel- framework, which spans free over more than 100 m with a height of the beams of approximately 6 m. The entire hangar is left unsupported in the interior and entrance area.
