Plans to improve the appearance of Mariapfarr’s centre focused on the area around the church and presbytery. The main area was kept free from buildings, and covered with a carpet of large paving stones. The overgrown pond was changed to a more abstract form and rejuvenated. The elevated area around the church was terraced and installed with seating. The presbytery path was widened along the presbytary gardens using a terrace and a light pergola construction.
