Aims and objectives of the study was the analysis of a possible change of functions from industrial areas to housing areas.

The planning concept is based on a strict grid, but develops “gaps” between the buildings. The system of individual volumes is based on the existing structure of single-family houses nearby and guarantees a maximum of ways through the site due to its openness.

The punctual houses are merged into small groups, which develop their own identity and architectural look. Garages underneath the buildings get lifted up slightly to provide natural daylight and ventilation. Roofs of these garages emerge as terraces, which differentiate private from public spaces.
