The program requires a spatial solution for two oppositional areas; an extroverted swim stadium and an introverted wellness facility. Both functional areas were stacked on top of each other to create an expressive, solitary volume and to provide the character of a sport stadium.
The ground level – the swim stadium – becomes a part of the exterior landscape and establishes the relationship between the street and the open-air swimming area. It becomes a connecting link and a „public interior“ in the city. The upper level – the spa area – is shaped as a solid and introverted volume which offers selected views on the surrounding nature.
