The terminal forms the new center of Yermolino Airport and was developed under the condition of an “Low Cost”- as well as “Sustainable Airport”. In order to be able to react to increasing numbers of passengers, the slight expansion of the building posed a further guideline.

The terminal is designed as a simple hall with three levels of 70.000 square metres of gross floor area which receives its spatial quality due to multi-story areas and galleries. Natural light and greenery play an essential role in terms of the terminal’s atmosphere. Besides the multi-story glass facades light can also pass through the top lights and green “light towers” which develop a special identity for the Yermolino Airport.
