The location of the planned tram depot and main workshop in the middle of the city calls for additional usage options. The roof of the depot hall was planned as a public park with two barrier-free access structures. A surrounding green band of greenery acts as an urban framework and as a green filter to the surrounding urban space.

The workshop building will have a multi-storey superstructure in a wood-hybrid design and will serve as an office, training and staff building.
