The brief calls for a modern teaching, learning and research environment for around 2,500 students and 600 university staff. We want to promote interaction and communication between teachers and students as well as between students and are therefore developing the campus around a central, multi-story atrium, the heart of the university.

The active communication zones are located in and around the atrium, while further out there are areas for concentrated, quiet work and reflection. This provides students with different learning environments. At the same time, the exchange of knowledge between students outside of the traditional classroom is promoted.

While the base is designed as a reinforced concrete skeleton construction due to larger spans, the construction switches to a wood hybrid system from the 3rd floor onwards.

The energy supply comes primarily from renewable sources such as deep probes and PV systems. Roofs and facades are covered with greenery and some areas are designed as terraces.
